Description
- Manage stock levels, oversee receiving and shipping operations, conduct cycle counts, and lead warehouse staff to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Implement inventory control procedures, optimize storage processes, and reconcile inventory records.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure timely stock replenishment while preventing overstocking and stock shortages.
- Supervise inventory staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management, to optimize productivity.
- Streamline shipping and receiving processes to reduce turnaround times.
- Maintain 98% inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation.
- Analyze inventory levels to anticipate operational needs and reduce understocked or overstocked items using ERP systems.
- Ensure safe storage procedures and compliance with safety standards, including OSHA requirements for hazardous materials.
- Train and mentor inventory team members.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders, as necessary.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze inventory trends.
- Reconcile inventory records and coordinate annual physical inventory activities.
- Utilize GSS to manage and respond to daily ERP system messages.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Inventory Supervisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate detailed reports.
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of inventory auditing techniques and material handling procedures.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- ERP system experience required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing, bending, stretching, or sitting at a desk while working on a computer.
